All our lamb is sourced from Len Tieszen near Hepburn, SK who is part of our Partner Producer network. Our partner producers are independent family farms who raise livestock for us according to our All Natural protocol. The lambs are given ample space in pastures with hay and grain as their main diet.
We aim to provide "spring lamb" all year round as we process lambs under one year of age. We produce Katahdin lambs which are specifically bred for meat purposes. They are a "hair lamb" as opposed to a "wool lamb" and we find the meat has a delicate flavor which is pleasing to most palates.
Our lambs are raised according to our All Natural protocol which ensures that all our lambs are free of growth promoting medications and hormones in a low stress environment. They are fed a vegetarian diet of hay, grass, oats and barley with no animal byproducts.
Pine View Farms processes lamb every second week, depending on the season and how the animals are growing. We carry a selection of cuts in our freezers and custom orders are available too.
